zone completion overlay doesn't show anything at all the window pops up but thats it.

That can happen if the PAO does not have access to the real-time data interface of the GW2 client (the mumble-link interface).
If you are running GW2 as administrator (which happens, for example, when the game patches) but the PAO is run as a normal user, it will not have access to the real-time data interface.

Yes i have actually that week alone i repaired my client 4 times due to a separate issue entirely.
