I've been experimenting with the distances for poi and waypoint discovery.. just a few (~6) in divinity's reach and ebonhawke city.
I discovered the waypoints quite consistently at 83 ft, on flat ground (no height difference between character and waypoint)
The poi was a bit more varied with maximum distance at 83 ft. I imagine some of the varied ones were due to height difference.
These are probably just personal preference, but these are the settings for auto-unlock I've used in zone completion and it worked quite well.
<= 75ft for poi and waypoint
<= 8ft for vista (counter = 5)
<= 400ft for Heart Quest (counter = 90)
<= 25ft for Skill Challenge (counter = 16)
(1 count = 250 ms)
Just stuff that I tried out and found..

Nice! Thanks for gathering that information. When I was originally testing the auto-unlock distances, I found that occasionally the tool would report an item as unlocked before it was actually unlocked in-game, so I reduced the distances used. I haven't really tested it in too much detail since, so this is really helpful. Thanks!
So just to confirm, you generally find that a heart can be completed in roughly 22 seconds, and a skill challenge in 4? 22 seconds seems like it would be a little bit quick for a heart quest.

For the heart, skill challenge, and vista, I mostly used them as a check if I am in the vicinity.
Usually, ~22 seconds inside the radius of the heart quest means that I am doing the quest, and I most probably won't leave until I complete it. If I run, say.. from one waypoint to another, and I happen to pass the heart quest, I should get out of the radius before the auto unlock kicks in.

Gotcha, makes sense. Thanks for the info! I'm working on adding this in now.
