Hey everyone, the next 3.0 beta build is ready. You can download it here. This one is mostly bug fixes. Here's the list of changes from Beta 5: - Added ability to add/remove bookmarks in the Web Browser.
- Bookmarks are added/removed using the new star icon located to the right of the URL entry box.
- I've also gone ahead and added a number of other useful GW2-related sites to the initial list of bookmarks.
- Added dungeon completion detection (and timer auto start/stop) for Twilight Arbor, Sorrow's Embrace, and Citadel of Flame
- Added option to auto show/hide the overlay menu icon based on whether or not GW2 is running.
- Added new error-reporting functionality.
- If the application crashes, a new message window will pop up asking if you would like to report the error.
- If you select 'yes', an e-mail will automatically be sent to my gw2pao support e-mail address with the crash text and the latest application logs (if available).
- If you select 'no', no e-mail will be sent.
- Fixed issue where the application would crash if it attempted to use an unsupported language
- You can no longer open multiple instances of the application.
- Fixed issue where the WvW tracker would not automatically close when exiting GW2 from a WvW with the auto open/close option enabled.
- Tweaked the Dungeon Tracker as an attempt to fix the missing-text issue.
- Added French translations for the Task Tracker.
For the missing text in the Dungeon Tracker, I would really appreciate it if anyone who observed this issue could let me know if it is now fixed. I wasn't able to reproduce it on any of my machines, so I wasn't able to confirm if my attempted fixes actually fixed it.
As usual, any feedback is appreciated.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that the "missing text in Dungeon Tracker" is still not fixed. No text is shown, only the different dungeon paths. I tried with english and german language. As far as i can remember the first time i downloaded the PAO from the website, the text in dungeon tracker was shown. That must have been the setup_2.2 exe. Since some beta build it seems not to work. Anyway, thx for your updates.

Can you tell me a little bit about your system, such as what version of Windows you are running, what graphics card, what resolution you're running with, and what your DPI setting is? Also, I've created a couple of custom builds with slight tweaks to the dungeon tracker that might fix the missing-text issue. Would you mind trying each of these and let me know if any (or all) of them fix the issue for you?

Hmmm I was originally thinking it was a layout problem, but if that was the case, one of those builds would have fixed it.
Can you attach/post your latest log file? Using a site like pastebin.com is preferred, or just attach the file itself. Also, screenshots might be helpful as well. Finally, when you use these beta builds, are you running it from a clean location, or are you extracting it over top of an older version?

It's working now. I was just extracting overtop a previous version of GW2 PAO. Now that I removed and and used the dungeon fix 1, it works! Woo!

Nice! Does the original beta 6 build work as well if you extract it to a clean location?

Hi Chris, I have a couple more builds for you to try if you're willing: - Hard-coded Dungeon Names Test Build - this build has every dungeon name hard-coded as "Test Dungeon Name." Can you try this and let me know if you see that?
- Test Build including Dungeons.xml - This build includes the actual Dungeons.xml file (which has been left out of the beta builds, as it gets generated if it's missing). Try this one out and let me know if you see the dungeon names as expected.
Both of these do not include the browser so that they are smaller in size. Please try these out and let me know what you find. Also, thanks for being patient with this. It's difficult to fix something when I can't seem to reproduce it.

good news! the two builds seem to work. The first one shows all dungeon names as "Test Dungeon Name". The second one shows the correct dungeon names. Its the build with the actual Dungeons.xml included. Maybe I didn´t got this auto generated? I hope you can use this information for future builds. Anyway thx for this fix! I´m gonna try out how it works and give some feedback.

i signed up so i can share some pics. this is how it looks now with Test Build including Dungeons.xml I hope the paths are listed correct and my progress will be saved. Do i have to save some file manually so that progress is not getting lost in future updates? Comfort question now: I´ve got the event timer running. It shows the current events that are up. I can expand the list and it shows the upcoming events. Everytime i expand the list and start up Gw2 again, it just shows up only the first 1 or 2 events. Is there some setting that that the expanded list is saved?
as like this?
sry for my bad english xD

Glad it's working better now!
Regarding the event tracker height... I'm wondering if maybe there's some sort of permissions issue going on.
Couple things to try:
1. Delete the C:\Users\<your user>\AppData\Local\GW2PAO directory. This will completely reset some of your user settings, such as window placement, but give this a try and see if the height is then saved as expected.
2. If 1. doesn't fix it, try running the application as administrator. If this fixes the issue, then that means it's a permissions problem.

This is the first build I'm using and I'm absolutely loving it! Two things I noticed so far: - If I type a text message to my TS channel through the overlay spaces are sent as "\s" in stead of a space like " ". - I would love an option where event notifications stick (i.e. remain visible) until I close them myself. Keep up the great work

For your other suggestion about the notifications, I can definitely add something.

Looks like the optional crash reporting was a good decision... There are a few crashes that I wouldn't have discovered on my own, but will be fixed in the next build.
