Hello, are you aware of the GW2 App Challenge? (www.overwolf.com/gw2-app-challenge/?src=gw2). If your program used overwolf, you could compete in that challenge and your program would work with the game on full-screen mode. I got here because I was going to make a similar program, so I was researching about it and found yours. I was going to port your code to overwolf (since the code is on github and the MIT License allows that), but it would be more fair if you did that yourself and got a nice prize at the challenge, right? ^^ Good luck and let me know if you're not interested on the challenge so I can make a program like yours, but using overwolf, which was my intent since before I knew your program. Thank you.

Hi there! Thanks for posting. Yes, I am aware of the latest Overwolf GW2 App Challenge. Overwolf has actually contacted me before about creating something for the previous Overwolf WvW App contest. I would expect that porting the PAO to JS/CSS/HTML would be a pretty massive undertaking, which is why I've never bothered to try. Overwolf is pretty neat, but I've also liked the idea of having a stand-alone application, even if it doesn't support fullscreen. If for some reason someone doesn't like Overwolf or has issues running it, they can try out the PAO instead. The prizes are pretty generous, and I would love to make something for it, but I'm not sure I have the time. You are more than welcome to try to port the PAO to JS/CSS/HTML, since, as you mentioned, it is open source . Good luck!

So I was looking at the contest terms and it's a bit grey as far as whether or not you can actually submit the PAO as an entry, even if it was ported. Especially after seeing some of the discussions on their forums, it would really stink if you put all that work into it and then the app wasn't accepted because it's based on a "previously published work". I'm not sure though. Just thought I'd put that warning out there. Edit: Heck, after thinking more about this, I don't think I could even submit the PAO as an entry if I were the one to port it, given that it's been out/released for a long time now and wasn't created during the contest period.

Dang, you're right. But my initial plan was to make an app from scratch just for event pop-ups. It's pretty close to a functionality of yours, but I think this is okay, provided I don't directly use your code. Thanks for the heads-up!
